What to Expect at a Visit
The initial evaluation is 55 min and includes a detailed discussion about your medical history, symptoms, and goals for physical therapy. An orthopedic assessment to look at your range of motion, strength, posture, and other tests are performed. Depending on your symptoms we will also assess the specific activity you're struggling with (holding baby, running, lifting car seat, squatting, etc.). Treatment is included on the first visit, usually including exercises, education, and sometimes hands-on / manual therapy, and you'll be given a plan of care summary as well as "homework" to continue working towards your goals between appointments.
