We are a multidisciplinary clinic (which means we have both physical and occupational therapy clinicians) that SPECIALIZE in women’s health. We only treat women and are true experts in prenatal and postpartum, menopausal, breast cancer, and female pelvic conditions.
We do not use aids or techs, it is just you and your therapist for the entire hour long session - and you will not be bounced between staff, you get to stay with your therapist for continuity of care.
Our clinic has private treatment rooms that are spacious and calm, with real linens - no cold sterile environment.
We will NOT just give you kegels, biofeedback, or a sheet of paper with instructions. Your therapist will asses your whole body, ortho, pelvic, and your lifestyle, and come up with a unique plan for you.
Our gym is fully equipped to load and strengthen you to return to your sport and full potential!
We strive to collaborate with other providers are grateful of our referral network and community resources. We are prepared to guide patients in their overall healthcare, referring to other providers (like mental health, PCP, GYN, hormone management, etc.) as needed.
YOU get to drive the ship - the patient is in charge and our therapy team helps navigate your rehab journey. We do not take orders from insurance companies which allows our staff to treat the WHOLE patient without limitations in treatment styles, time, codes, etc. No visit limit. No nonsense paperwork. No discharging just because you met a goal on a paper. We’re here to go BEYOND your goals and empower you to be your strongest self.

Florida has “Direct Access”, which means patients are allowed to go directly to a physical therapist without a referral or prescription for 30 days. If you have already seen a provider for the condition you’re wanting PT for, then you can continue to be seen after the 30 days. If you have not seen a provider for the condition, we will help to coordinate your care.

Pelvic Patients: The initial evaluation is 55 min and includes a detailed discussion about your medical history, symptoms, and goals for physical therapy. We often complete an orthopedic assessment to look at your range of motion, strength, posture, etc. If a pelvic exam is indicated, we will first educate and discuss with you the exam process (this can help us learn about your pelvic floor muscle strength, tone, scar tissue, coordination, prolapse or laxity assessment, and more). If time allows and patient agrees, we can do a pelvic exam on the first visit, future visit, or defer if patient prefers to wait.
Breast Patients: The initial evaluation is 55 min and includes a detailed discussion about your medical history, cancer treatment timeline, and goals for physical therapy. If you are being seen pre-op for lymphedema prevention, we will educate you on what lymphedema is, what your risks are, and take baseline measurements. We will also review what to expect throughout your treatment timeline considering surgery, radiation, chemo, and other treatments, and how PT can play a role.

We have an entire program dedicated to pregnant patients to prepare for labor and delivery, postpartum, and enjoy their BEST pregnancy. We educate on aches and pains (& how to avoid them) during pregnancy (like round ligament, pubic symphysis, and back pain), core strength and diastasis recti / ab separation, general strength training during pregnancy, and of course many appointment dedicated to education and preparation on labor, delivery, positions, “how to push”, pain management, etc.
We recommend pregnant patients begin at ANY time in their pregnancy, but ideally we start in the late first/early second trimester to optimize your pregnancy experience. The program is modified to your needs and planned due date.

YES! No matter your planned delivery pelvic floor therapy is for ANY pregnant and postpartum patient. Cesarean deliveries can still be “prepared” for by maintaining a strong core, taking care of your pelvic floor during pregnancy, and educating and preparing for postpartum considerations with wound healing, scar formation, and core use.
If you’ve already had a cesarean, pelvic therapy is STILL for you. We go over scar mobility, pain management, core strength and function, pelvic pain or symptoms that may be resulting from the cesarean scar, and more.

You do not need to cancel or reschedule due to being on your period, in fact we WANT to see you while you’re on your period as symptoms and pelvic floor presentation will often be different at various times in your cycle and it can give us information helpful to your plan of care!
We will always modify to your comfort level, but know that in general it is helpful and encouraged to still come during all phases of your cycle.

Of course! We dont want childcare to be a barrier to your rehab journey. Infants and babies are always welcome as they are so easy to manage, you can bring a stroller/car seat or just let them come lay/play on the mat. Toddlers and older kids can attend as well and we will adapt to the patient’s needs and the situation.
If childcare is an issue and you dont want to bring in your kiddos, we can always switch to a virtual appointment to continue your plan of care. Please talk to your therapist about options that work best for you!

Whatever you’re comfortable in! There is no special dress requirement, however athleisure and loose fitting clothes are easiest to move around it as we complete our evaluation.
-
This varies based on the person and their symptoms, but in general, you should see an improvement in your symptoms within 6-8 visits (this does not mean resolution of symptoms, but rather a change moving in the right direction).

Of course! We have options for patients who don’t live in the north central Florida area, live out of state, or who have trouble making it into the clinic.
I live in Florida but can’t make it into the clinic: We can provide virtual physical therapy through our secure platform. Call us to learn more about virtual options for you!
I live outside of Florida: We can provide virtual services to include a medical history review and discuss your best options for learning about and managing your symptoms. We offer wellness services (exercise, education, birth prep and post partum care, return to exercise) and help guide you to the best providers in your area to address your problems.
