What to Expect From Your Visit
The initial evaluation is 55 min and includes a detailed discussion about your medical history, cancer treatment timeline, and goals for physical therapy. If you are being seen pre-op for lymphedema prevention, we will educate you on what lymphedema is, what your risks are, and take baseline measurements. We will also review what to expect throughout your treatment timeline considering surgery, radiation, chemo, and other treatments, and how PT can play a role.
